Two OPM legends, Chito Miranda and Ely Buendia, return to Dubai stage this August

Two of the biggest names in Filipino rock are heading back to Dubai. Chito Miranda and Ely Buendia will headline a night of Original Pilipino Music at Coca-Cola Arena on August 30, 2026, giving the emirate’s Filipino community another chance to see the pair live.

The concert is built around two separate headline sets rather than a joint performance. Each legend takes the stage with his own band, his own production setup, and a setlist drawn entirely from his own catalog, so the evening plays out as two distinct shows under one roof.

Miranda’s set pulls from his solo material alongside the songs that made Parokya ni Edgar one of the country’s most enduring rock acts. Buendia brings his solo work together with the Eraserheads hits that helped define Filipino alternative rock through the 1990s and beyond.

Both men have shaped the sound of OPM for decades, and their music continues to travel with Filipino listeners well past the country’s borders — a reach that turns a Dubai date into a homecoming of sorts for fans across the Gulf.

The show is aimed squarely at longtime followers, with sing-along anthems and familiar favorites promised across both performances.
