A gas cylinder explosion at a car showroom along Sheikh Zayed Road claimed one life and left five others hurt, prompting an emergency response from Dubai Civil Defence and medical teams, authorities confirmed on Monday.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and were able to bring the incident under control before securing the area to eliminate any remaining safety risks. Officials said the site was made safe following the operation.
The injured were treated and provided with the necessary medical care, according to the Dubai Media Office. Authorities did not immediately release details about the condition of those hurt or identify the person who died.
No information has yet been announced regarding what caused the gas cylinder to explode, and officials have not disclosed the identity of the showroom involved.
