Nayiri’s World: Where pastries, coffee, and comfort food come together in Dubai

Tucked into a shop on Amman Street in Al Qusais, Nayiri’s World runs on a simple idea printed across its own materials: food is art, and the team loves creating it. The boutique coffee shop and cake studio blends Armenian and Levantine influences with a modern café sensibility, turning out fresh pastries daily alongside custom cakes built for celebrations.

The menu reads like a tour of that heritage. Mornings lean into breakfast served until 1:00 PM, where an English breakfast runs 42 AED and an Arabic breakfast 38 AED, with lighter plates like shakshuka at 21 AED, a classic omelette at 18 AED, and poached egg with avocado or bacon at 16 to 21 AED. Tea or coffee can be added to any breakfast for 8 AED.

Midday brings salads and sandwiches. The Cobb salad tops the salad list at 34 AED, with Caesar, Greek, and tuna options from 24 to 29 AED. On the sandwich side, a club sandwich goes for 32 AED and a halloumi and pesto for 26 AED, while croissant-based choices like turkey and cheese or scrambled eggs with bacon sit at 18 AED each. Air-fried French fries round things out at 14 AED.

Dessert is where the studio’s identity shows. Alongside familiar favorites like cheesecake at 19 AED, tiramisu at 22 AED, and red velvet at 22 AED, the case features regional touches such as tahina bread at 10 AED and a wide croissant range from a plain at 12 AED to za’atar, almond, and pistachio versions. Pancakes, brownies, and a molten lava cake with ice cream keep the sweeter crowd covered.

The coffee program anchors the whole operation. An Armenian coffee starts at 9 AED, espresso drinks climb through single and double macchiatos and con panna variations, and specialty pours like a pistachio latte reach 21 AED. Non-coffee drinkers get karak from 3 AED, karak zafran, hot chocolate, and a matcha latte. Cold beverages span house lemonades, iced teas, iced coffees, and shakes, most in the 14 to 24 AED range.

For larger occasions, Nayiri’s World takes pre-orders on Levantine specialties by the kilogram or box, including tahini bread and rolls, maamul in several fillings, kibbeh, vegetarian sarma, and a Dubai chocolate bar, alongside the custom celebration cakes the studio is known for.

Price-wise, the café sits in an accessible everyday range: most drinks fall between 3 and 21 AED, breakfast and lunch plates between 14 and 42 AED, and desserts between 8 and 22 AED, with pre-order platters priced by size.
