Sharjah cuts firefighting fees and penalties by 50% to help businesses

Firms operating in Sharjah can now access substantial reductions on penalties and service charges under a new relief scheme unveiled by Sharjah Civil Defence.

The authority is offering a 50 per cent cut on firefighting service costs alongside a matching discount on all fines. Both concessions apply to violations recorded between 2019 and 2026.

The window to claim the reductions runs for three months, beginning June 16, 2026. Those seeking further details have been directed to reach the authority through its official channels or by dialling 06 516 3333.

The move follows a separate round of business incentives rolled out days earlier by Sharjah Police, issued in accordance with a directive from the Sharjah Executive Council. Under that scheme, commercial operators receive a 50 per cent cut on the renewal of security permits and an equivalent reduction on fines and violation amounts.

The police package additionally trims security system subscription charges by half. Mandatory training programme fees, meanwhile, are being reduced by 20 per cent for participating businesses.
