Companies in Sharjah get 50% break on fees and fines for three months

Companies operating in Sharjah will see lower charges across several police-administered services under a new round of relief measures introduced by Sharjah Police, who framed the move as a way to strengthen the emirate’s standing among investors.

The package, issued in line with a ruling from the emirate’s Executive Council, trims a range of mandatory costs that businesses regularly face. Firms renewing security permits tied to their commercial operations will pay half the usual fee, while subscription charges for security systems are similarly cut by 50 per cent.

The relief extends to enforcement-related costs as well. Outstanding fines and penalties are reduced by half under the scheme. Sharjah Police also lowered the fees charged for compulsory training programmes, applying a 20 per cent discount for participating companies.

Authorities indicated that the announced reductions sit alongside further incentives folded into the same decision, positioning the initiative as part of a broader push to keep local enterprises viable.

The discounts and exemptions take effect from the date the decision is implemented and will remain in force for a three-month window.
