Travelers connecting the Philippine capital with Qatar will have a direct option again from the start of July, as Philippine Airlines confirmed it is bringing back its Manila-Doha service after a stretch of suspended operations tied to instability in the Middle East.
The carrier said the route returns on July 1, 2026, running four times each week rather than daily. Departures from the Philippine side, flying as PR 684, are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, leaving Manila at 7:00 PM and touching down in Doha at 11:40 PM.
The reverse leg, PR 685, lifts off from Doha on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 1:30 AM, with arrival in Manila set for 4:50 PM the same day.
PAL framed the relaunch as a measured step rather than a full return to its previous schedule. The airline said it would keep watching conditions in the region and intends to rebuild capacity once circumstances permit, adding that anyone whose travel is affected will be informed directly of any further changes.
Anyone planning to fly the route is being told not to head to the airport without a confirmed reservation. The airline pointed passengers to its online booking management portal at philippineairlines.com to check the status of a reservation and to see the latest schedule.
Round-the-clock help is available through several PAL channels. Within Metro Manila, the landlines are (+632) 8539-0000 and (+632) 8855-8888, while callers using a Philippine mobile number can reach (+63) 919-056-2255. A toll-free line, 1-800-435-9725, serves customers in the United States and Canada. The airline also fields queries through Messenger at m.me/PhilippineAirlines, WhatsApp at wa.me/639178305810, and its dedicated help page at pal.my.site.com.
The Doha route was among several Gulf connections PAL pulled earlier this year as fighting in the region and restrictions on regional airspace forced carriers to reassess where they could safely fly. The airline has said throughout that decisions on its Middle East network would hinge on its own safety assessment, noting that operating conditions can differ from one airline to another.
