Filipino migrant workers in the UAE are being advised to take note of a four-day service suspension across multiple Philippine government offices as the country observes Eid Al Adha and Arafat Day.
The Migrant Workers Office covering Dubai and the Northern Emirates (MWO-Dubai), the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai, and the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi are all closed from May 26 to May 29, 2026. The closures cover Arafat Day on Tuesday and three consecutive days of Eid Al Adha from Wednesday through Friday.
The VFS Global OFW Contract Verification Centre in Dubai is similarly shut for the same period, in line with private sector holiday observances. Services at the VFS centre are scheduled to resume on Saturday, May 30.
OFWs who need employment contract verification in the meantime may use the online platform at dmw.dataflowgroup.com, or book a VFS Global business centre appointment through the official link at services.vfsglobal.com/are/en/ofw/apply-contract-verification. Walk-in processing at MWO-Dubai will also be available one working day before a scheduled flight, once regular operations resume.
For emergencies during the holiday closure, MWO-Dubai’s Assistance to Nationals section can be reached at 056-353-5558, 054-223-0822, or 056-153-3057, with inquiries also accepted at atn.mwodubai@dmw.gov.ph. OWWA-Dubai remains reachable at 050-558-5536 or through dubai@owwa.gov.ph.
The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai has also published separate emergency contact lines: consular concerns including passport and notarial matters can be directed to +971 4 220 7800, while non-OFW nationals may call +971 56 501 5756. OFWs needing contract verification or welfare assistance may contact MWO-Dubai directly at +971 50 652 6626 or +971 56 353 555.
In Abu Dhabi, the embassy’s Assistance-to-Nationals hotline for OFWs is +971 56 270 9157, and +971 504438003 for non-OFWs. OWWA services in Abu Dhabi can be reached at +971 54 557 2121, with contract verification queries directed to +971 54 725 8482.
