A basketball tournament carrying AED 20,000 in total cash prizes is being organized for Filipino overseas workers in Dubai to mark the 128th Philippine Independence Day next month.
T3T Sport Management has announced the Kalayaan Dubai Cup 2026, a mixed-category competition set for June 12, 2026, at the DSF Al Rigga Basketball Court. The champion team takes home AED 15,000, while first place receives AED 5,000 — bringing the combined prize money to AED 20,000.

The event is open to Filipino OFWs across the UAE, with teams composed of players across three skill divisions: Strong A, Strong B, and Unrated. Each participating team pays an entry fee of AED 4,000, and the champion squad also receives free jersey uniforms for 12 players.
“This is more than a tournament or gathering. This is a movement that celebrates unity, resilience, and the Filipino spirit through the love of basketball,” said Mr. J of T3T Sport Management. “Our goal is to create an environment where OFWs can feel connected, inspired, and proud while representing their communities across the UAE.”
The tournament is organized in partnership with Phil Pro Consultancies, HR, Reperco, and The 365 Tactics. For registration and inquiries, interested parties may contact Bessy Lex at +971545135331 or Mr. J at +971503227702.
