A decorative passport stamp marking the UAE’s “Year of Family 2026” is now being applied at airports, land borders, and seaports across the country, turning an ordinary immigration formality into a symbolic gesture of welcome.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) introduced the commemorative imprint on May 15, coinciding with the International Day of Families. The initiative was launched through the authority’s General Directorate of Ports.
According to ICP, the stamp is intended to reflect the UAE’s core values of hospitality, unity, and social solidarity, embedding these principles into the country’s standard arrival procedure.
The “Year of Family 2026” is a broader national initiative focused on reinforcing family ties and advancing social values across the Emirates.
