Some 10,000 barangays across the Philippines have yet to submit their documentary requirements under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s “Bawat Barangay Makikinabang Program,” even as the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas pressed for faster compliance ahead of the initiative’s phased rollout.
The program allocates ₱200,000 in financial assistance to each of the country’s 42,011 barangays, with disbursement contingent on the submission of required documents following established guidelines. Applications are being processed in stages, with each submission undergoing validation before funds are released.
LNB National President Maria Katrina Jessica G. Dy credited the Office of the Executive Secretary, headed by Ralph Recto, for anchoring the distribution process. “We are working closely with the Office of the Executive Secretary to ensure that this assistance is distributed efficiently and fairly,” Dy said. “Our goal is to leave no barangay behind.”
By April 24, roughly 32,000 barangays had already forwarded their requests, which were subsequently endorsed to the Office of the President for processing. The LNB described the rollout framework as grounded in fairness, transparency, and accountability, with no barangay to receive preferential consideration over another.
The Liga positioned the program as a direct channel between Malacañang and the barangay level, which it described as the most immediate layer of public service delivery in the country.
Barangays with unresolved concerns about the application process may raise them through the Liga’s official Facebook page, where the organization said all submissions will be reviewed.
