Authorities apprehended a 62-year-old woman at the international arrivals area of Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 on May 1 after confirming an outstanding arrest warrant linked to an estafa case.
The passenger, who had just arrived from San Francisco, California, was flagged by immigration officers during routine checks. Records showed the warrant had been issued years earlier, with bail set at P20,000.
Airport police coordinated with personnel from the Manila Police District to validate the order and proceed with enforcement. A joint team from NAIA Police Station 3 and MPD Barbosa Police Station (PS-14) carried out the arrest at the terminal.
Following her interception, the suspect was transferred to the custody of MPD Barbosa PS-14, where documentation and legal processing are underway.
