The most talked-about cinema accessory of the season will not be hitting shelves in the UAE — it has to be won.
VOX Cinemas has confirmed that its limited-edition “Miranda Special” popcorn bucket, inspired by the fictional Runway Magazine world of The Devil Wears Prada 2, will be distributed exclusively through a competition giveaway rather than placed on sale. Only 450 of the Prada-styled handbag buckets — complete with a gold pitchfork heel charm — will be given away across the UAE.
Entering is straightforward. Fans who book a ticket to The Devil Wears Prada 2 online through voxcinemas.com or the VOX Cinemas app for any screening between April 29 and May 16 are automatically entered into the draw, with winners announced on May 19.
The film itself opened in UAE cinemas on April 30, a day ahead of its official May 1 release in the United States, with early midnight screenings beginning at 11pm on April 29. The sequel reunites Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci nearly two decades after the 2006 original, this time placing their characters at the center of a collapsing print media industry. Director David Frankel and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, both behind the first film, returned for the follow-up.
VOX Cinemas is screening the film across multiple Dubai and Abu Dhabi locations, including Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira, BurJuman, Wafi Mall, Dubai Festival City, Yas Mall, Reem Mall, and The Galleria Al Maryah Island.
