FBI puts $25K bounty on Filipino fugitive linked to online child abuse network

A Filipino national with ties to Texas is now among the FBI’s most wanted fugitives after allegedly helping run an online network that coerced children into producing child sexual abuse material — and then disappeared before he could be brought to court.

Austin Jan Sy Yatco, 27, born in San Pedro, Laguna, in the Philippines, is believed to have fled the United States and is thought to be back in the Philippines. He previously lived in Plano, Texas, where he worked in the technology sector after earning a computer science degree.

Federal authorities say Yatco was a member of a criminal online group called “Greggy’s Cult,” which operated across gaming and social media platforms from 2019 to 2021. According to investigators, the group’s members hunted for vulnerable minors, pressured them into creating explicit material of themselves, and circulated that content among the network and beyond. The FBI has described Greggy’s Cult as a precursor to the extremist network known as 764 — a group the bureau’s director, Kash Patel, characterized before a Senate panel as “modern day terrorism in America.” Members of Greggy’s Cult later became prominent figures within 764, according to the Justice Department.

Five other alleged leaders of the group have already been charged. Yatco, who used the online alias “Hairy Lips,” is the sixth member named in the indictment after a court order unredacted his identity.

The Eastern District of New York issued a federal arrest warrant for Yatco on January 23, 2026. He faces three charges: sexual exploitation of children, possession and distribution of material involving the sexual exploitation of minors, and certain activities relating to material constituting or containing child pornography. Prosecution, if he is apprehended, will take place in Brooklyn.

FBI Dallas Special Agent in Charge R. Joseph Rothrock announced the reward publicly on April 17. “The FBI continues to prioritize the investigation of predators that threaten the safety of our children. We are committed to apprehending Austin Yatco, bringing justice to his victims, and preventing future abuse. We encourage the public to come forward with any information that could lead to his apprehension,” Rothrock said.

Yatco is described as a Filipino male, approximately 5’7″ tall, weighing around 149 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He speaks both English and Tagalog.
