Flydubai is accepting applications for cabin crew positions, with the Dubai-based low-cost carrier outlining a detailed set of eligibility criteria and a compensation structure that includes a fixed monthly allowance covering basic salary, housing, and transportation.
The airline’s job listing, published on LinkedIn, describes its ideal candidate as someone driven by a commitment to service. “If you are passionate about people, are hardworking and have an unwavering commitment to provide a great experience then we would like to hear from you,” the carrier said in the posting.
Successful applicants can expect a fixed monthly package of AED 8,275, which covers basic salary, housing, and transportation. Variable flying pay of AED 4,500 per month is also on offer, calculated on an average of 90 flying hours. Additional benefits include medical insurance, 30 days of paid annual leave, an annual leave ticket, concessional tickets for family members and friends, an end-of-service benefit, and an open-ended contract.
New hires will, however, be subject to a training bond of $2,650 — approximately AED 9,700 — applicable during the first year of employment.
To qualify, applicants must be at least 21 years old and stand a minimum of 158cm tall, a requirement the airline ties to safety regulations. Candidates must hold a valid passport, a high school diploma, and at least one year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in aviation, hospitality, or retail. Prior international aviation experience is listed as an advantage.
Health and grooming standards feature prominently in the requirements. Candidates must be in good health and able to clear an aero medical examination, present a well-groomed and professional appearance consistent with the airline’s standards, and have no visible tattoos while in uniform.
Fluency in written and spoken English is required, with proficiency in other languages considered an asset. Applicants must also be comfortable in the water while wearing a flotation aid or life jacket, capable of responding to emergencies calmly and effectively, and willing to work irregular hours that include weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
Flydubai also requires that applicants be open to relocating to Dubai and able to function effectively within a multicultural team environment.
