Sara Duterte still the top presidential bet for 2028 as VP race remains anyone’s game

Three candidates are bunched within half a percentage point at the top of the 2028 vice presidential survey — but no such competition exists on the presidential side, where Vice President Sara Duterte remains the dominant choice by a wide margin.

Duterte drew 35.9% in the presidential preference survey conducted by WR Numero from March 10 to 17, 2026, nearly double the combined support of the next two candidates. The poll covered 1,455 Filipino respondents and carried a national margin of error of ±3%.

Broadcaster Raffy Tulfo came in second at 18.5%, registering the largest upward movement among the top presidential contenders — gaining five percentage points from the November 2025 survey. Former Vice President Leni Robredo placed third at 15.7%, also up three points from the previous round.

The field drops sharply after the top three. Senator Bong Go recorded 3.6%, while Senator Bam Aquino posted 3.2%. Senator Kiko Pangilinan trailed at 1.4%. Senators Sonny Angara and Risa Hontiveros each registered 0.7%, the latter slipping two points from her previous showing. Joy Belmonte and Jonvic Remulla were at 0.4% and 0.3%, respectively. Vince Dizon, listed as a new entry, came in at 0.1%. Those undecided accounted for 19.4%, down three points from November.

The vice presidential standings tell a different story. Senator Bong Go led that race at 12.2%, but his support has eroded — falling seven points since November, the steepest decline among all VP candidates. Senators Grace Poe and Robin Padilla followed closely at 11.9% and 11.7%, each gaining three points.

Rodante Marcoleta appeared as a new entry at 8.4%, immediately positioning himself as a mid-tier contender. Senator Risa Hontiveros placed fifth at 5.9%, also gaining three points, while Senators Chiz Escudero and Kiko Pangilinan both recorded 5%, with the former rising two points and the latter slipping slightly.

President Bongbong Marcos, who ran alongside Sara Duterte in the 2022 elections, debuted in the VP survey at 3.6%. Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso came in at 3.5%, down three points. Bam Aquino and Imee Marcos — the President’s sister — each stood at 1.9%. Win Gatchalian registered 0.7%, while Vince Dizon, Sonny Angara, and Benjamin Magalong rounded out the list at 0.6%, 0.5%, and 0.4%, respectively. More than a quarter of respondents — 26.8% — remained undecided on their VP preference, four points lower than the previous survey.Sara Duterte still the top presidential bet for 2028 as VP race remains anyone’s game
