Singapore Airlines suspends Dubai routes until end of May amid Middle East tensions

Singapore Airlines has pulled two of its Dubai flights from service through 31 May 2026, citing the ongoing geopolitical situation in the region.

The affected services are SQ494, which operates from Singapore to Dubai, and the return SQ495 from Dubai back to Singapore. The carrier has not specified the precise nature of the security concerns driving the decision, noting only that conditions remain fluid — and that further routes could be disrupted depending on how the situation develops.

Passengers holding tickets on the cancelled flights will be moved to alternative services where available, or offered a full refund on the unused portion of their booking. Those who purchased directly through Singapore Airlines can submit a claim via the airline’s online Assistance Request Form. Travelers who booked through a travel agent or a partner airline are being directed to contact those parties separately for help.

The airline is urging affected customers to make sure their contact information is current under the ‘Manage Booking’ function on its website, or to sign up for mobile flight status alerts, so they receive timely updates if additional changes occur.
