RTA suspends inter-emirate bus routes amid flooding, adverse weather

Flooding and deteriorating road conditions have prompted Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority to pull bus services linking Dubai with Sharjah and Ajman, effective 7:00 PM Thursday.

The RTA said the decision was driven by waterlogged roads posing risks to traffic safety across the inter-emirate corridors. Field teams have been deployed in coordination with other relevant authorities to evaluate conditions on the ground.

Restoration of services is contingent on road safety assessments, with the authority stating that routes will resume once conditions allow for safe travel.

Commuters relying on cross-emirate bus connections are being directed to the RTA’s official social media accounts for real-time updates on service status.
