Is SB19 rebranding? Members drop group’s name from social media amid rumors

At the recent TeaM Fair 2023 in Butuan City, members of the popular P-pop group SB19 – Pablo, Stell, Josh, Ken, and Justin – were the center of attention. However, their presence was marked by the notable absence of the group’s name, SB19, in any references to them.

During the event on November 10, fans noticed that only the individual names of the members were mentioned, not the group’s name. Adding to the speculation were comments from Ken and Josh, hinting at ongoing difficulties within the group. Ken expressed gratitude for the support during hard times, while Josh emphasized the importance of their bond with the fans, known as A’Tin.

Further fueling fan concerns, the members have removed “SB19” from their Instagram bios and handles. This change has led to a flurry of reactions from A’Tin on social media. Fans like @intoszmc and @luna_tismo expressed deep attachment to the SB19 name, recognizing its significance in the group’s identity and journey.

In June 2023, the group left their old management, ShowBT, to form their own company, 1Z Entertainment, with leader Pablo as CEO. ShowBT, a Korean company, still holds the trademark for “SB19” and the copyright of the group’s original songs until January 3, 2031.

Amidst these developments, SB19 has canceled their scheduled PAGTATAG! World Tour in Singapore, set for November 15, 2023. 1Z Entertainment cited “unforseen circumstances” as the reason for the cancellation, leaving fans worried about the future of the group and their beloved SB19 identity.
