Residents and visitors in RAK told to keep drones on the ground

All drone operations in Ras Al Khaimah have been suspended following a directive issued by the emirate’s police authority, citing exceptional circumstances affecting the UAE.

The ban covers every category of unmanned aerial vehicle as well as light sport aircraft. Ras Al Khaimah Police made clear that the order is binding on all residents, visitors, and operators without exception.

Violations will be met with legal consequences under the country’s safety and security legislation, authorities warned.

Those seeking information on when the suspension will be lifted are directed to monitor official Ras Al Khaimah Police channels for further announcements.
