The much-anticipated romantic-drama “Five Breakups And A Romance” is set to charm moviegoers across the Middle East starting November 30.
Directed by the renowned Irene Emma Villamor, known for her evocative storytelling in films like “Sid & Aya” and “Ulan,” this film promises to redefine the Filipino romance genre with a contemporary twist.
Set against the urban landscapes of Singapore and Manila’s Bonifacio Global City, “Five Breakups And A Romance” explores the intricate dynamics of modern love and relationships.
The story centers around Lance (played by Alden Richards) and Justine (played by Julia Montes), who confront the challenges of their differing personalities, career paths, and the pressures of global issues on their relationship.
The film questions the resilience of love and how many times a couple can triumph in the name of it.
Produced by CS Studios, in collaboration with GMA Pictures and Alden Richards’ Myriad, the film also benefits from the expertise of former Star Cinema managing director Malou N. Santos, serving as a consultant.
