St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dubai has released the schedule of Holy Masses for Ash Wednesday, which will be observed on February 18, marking the start of the Lenten season for Catholics and other Christian communities.
According to the church’s advisory posted on its official Facebook page, the imposition of ashes will take place after the Gospel Reading during each Mass. The church reminded worshippers that Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting and abstinence, in line with Catholic tradition.
The church also announced that prayer meetings will not be held on that day at Bp. Gremoli Hall, Bp. Paul Hall, and the rooms above.
Based on the schedule published by the church, morning Masses will be held at 5:30 a.m., 6:30 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., and 12:00 noon, while evening Masses will take place at 3:00 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.
