Dubai Police said two six-year-old girls who were reported missing in Dubai were found safe and reunited with their families after walking outside their residential community.
In a statement released late Wednesday, authorities confirmed the children had been located following concerns raised by residents and parents online.
The incident was reported in Dubai Hills, specifically in the Maple 2 area, where the girls were believed to have gone missing on Wednesday evening.
In the hours after they were last seen, missing posters were widely shared across social media community groups, with mothers urging the public to share any information that could help locate the children. The posters included descriptions of what the girls were wearing, stating that one child had been dressed in all white, while the other was wearing a white dress with black polka dots.
Dubai Police also reminded the public to rely only on official sources for updates, stressing that the girls have been found safe.
