Global Village lines up fireworks, drone shows, and family activities over four days

As part of its ongoing seasonal programming, Global Village will stage a four-day celebration in the lead-up to Hag Al Laila, blending large-scale evening spectacles with traditional Emirati customs aimed at families.

The festivities are scheduled from Saturday, January 31, through Tuesday, February 3. A fireworks display is set for Saturday night at 9:00 p.m. along Fireworks Avenue, with visibility extending across the park. The following evening, a Hag Al Laila–themed drone show will take place at 9:05 p.m., adding a second night of aerial performances.

Throughout the four days, children visiting the destination will receive complimentary sweets, reflecting the Hag Al Laila tradition in which youngsters go door to door singing in exchange for treats. The park will also introduce heritage-inspired décor and a majlis area to create a distinctly Emirati setting during the celebration period.

Younger visitors are expected to be a focal point of the programme, with creative workshops and traditional activities planned alongside the evening shows. These elements will run alongside the attraction’s regular entertainment and retail offerings.

The outdoor destination currently includes more than 3,500 retail outlets, over 250 food and beverage venues, tens of thousands of live performances across the season, and more than 200 rides, games, and attractions. Its 30th season features 30 pavilions representing over 90 cultures, mirroring the diversity of Dubai’s population.
