Rising Filipino teen band Novela is set to make history as the first Filipino teen band to perform on the Main Stage of Global Village, one of Dubai’s most prestigious and internationally recognized cultural entertainment destinations. The landmark performance will take place on Monday, January 19, with Novela’s set commencing at 8:40 PM.
Known for their high-energy performances and modern pop-rock sound, Novela represents a new wave of Filipino youth talent gaining recognition beyond borders. Their Global Village appearance marks a major milestone not only for the band, but also for Filipino representation on one of the region’s most prominent global stages.
The band enters this historic performance with strong momentum, fresh from opening as the front act for a SOLD-OUT show by the Elias JTV Band in Abu Dhabi, where Novela delivered an electrifying set that drew enthusiastic audience response. Their commanding stage presence and tight musicianship further reinforced their growing reputation as one of the UAE’s most promising young live acts.
Despite being only two years into their career as a teen band in the UAE, Novela has already earned notable accolades. In 2024, the group emerged as Champions of the BurJuman Battle of the Bands, a competitive platform that showcased their technical skill and performance strength. They also claimed the championship title at Dubai Rock Revolution: Eraserheads Edition, held during the Shukran Festival organized by The Filipino Channel, Love Josie, and Infinite Communities, standing out for their powerful tribute performance and strong crowd engagement.
