On January 10, 2026, the Filipino community solemnly celebrated the Feast of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, a deeply cherished devotion that reflects faith, sacrifice, and spiritual renewal. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by His Excellency Bishop Aldo Berardi, O.SS.T., Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia, and concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Anthony Almazan, OFM Cap; Rev. Fr. Jusfer John Albert, OFM Cap; Rev. Fr. John Nuñez; and Rev. Fr. Marcus Fernandes, OFM Cap.

Adding significance to the occasion, Ambassador-designate Gines Jaime Ricardo D. Gallaga and his spouse Madam Moira G. Gallaga graced the celebration with their presence, joining the Filipino faithful in prayer and fellowship. Their attendance underscored the Embassy’s solidarity with the Filipino community and its support for faith-based and cultural traditions that strengthen unity among Overseas Filipinos.
The celebration gathered devotees who came together in prayer and thanksgiving, reaffirming their faith and devotion to the Mahal na Poong Jesús Nazareno. The solemn liturgy highlighted the enduring significance of the Nazareno devotion as a path toward conversion, renewal, and a deeper relationship with Christ.

According to Katolikong Pinoy sa Bahrain, ‘’True devotion to Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, as emphasized during the celebration, is not merely an outward expression of faith but a commitment to allow the life of Jesus Christ to dwell and reign in the hearts of believers‘’. As reflected in Galatians 2:20, “It is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me.”
Filipino Catholics expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to openly express their faith in the Kingdom of Bahrain. For many Overseas Filipino Workers, the celebration of the Feast of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno provided spiritual comfort, a sense of belonging, and a renewed connection to home. Being able to gather in worship, participate in religious traditions, and celebrate their devotion strengthened not only their faith but also their unity as a community, offering encouragement and hope amid the challenges of life abroad.

Through this celebration, the community once again demonstrated its strong spiritual bond, united in devotion and guided by the enduring example of Christ’s love and sacrifice.
