Billionaire CEO pays for 1,200 employees on a trip to Tokyo Disneyland

Billionaire Ken Griffin, the CEO of Citadel LLC, has recently treated 1,200 staff members and their families to a lavish three-day celebration at Tokyo Disneyland. The extravagant trip was not just a getaway but also a commemoration of the company’s milestones which could not be celebrated previously due to pandemic constraints.

The all-expenses-paid journey included flights, accommodations, meals, park tickets, and even childcare. It provided the employees of both Citadel LLC and its sister firm, Citadel Securities, a chance to enjoy the magic of Disney with their loved ones, alongside a top-notch entertainment lineup featuring Maroon 5 and Calvin Harris in private performances.

Ken Griffin and Citadel’s CEO Peng Zhao were present to mark the occasion. In a heartening address to his team, Griffin highlighted the collective talent that has established Citadel as a leader in the financial industry, crediting the success to the shared vision and innovation of its workforce.

This event follows a tradition of opulent staff appreciation gestures by Griffin, mirroring a previous event where U.S. and European employees were flown to Disney World in Florida. That celebration saw a turnout of 10,000 people and included star-studded performances by Carly Rae Jepsen, DJ Diplo, and Coldplay.
