Plans for Filipino pop-rock fans in the UAE were abruptly altered this week after The Itchyworms confirmed that their scheduled January 2026 concerts in Dubai and Abu Dhabi would no longer push through.
The announcement came through a post on the band’s official Facebook page, where they informed followers that the Middle East dates had been called off due to “unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.” The group acknowledged the disappointment this would cause supporters who had been looking forward to seeing them perform in the region.
The cancelled shows were part of the previously promoted Akin Ka Na Lang Middle East Tour, which had listed a Dubai performance on January 17 followed by a stop in Abu Dhabi. The tour had been positioned as the band’s return to the UAE after several years, with earlier promotions describing the dates as highlights for Filipino music fans based in the Gulf.
In their statement, the band said ticket holders would be contacted directly by the organisers regarding the refund process. They also thanked fans for their continued support and understanding despite the sudden change.
