Police authorities in Quezon City reported that Sherra de Juan, the bride-to-be who had been reported missing earlier this month, has been found in the Ilocos Region and has since undergone an initial medical evaluation upon her return.
According to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), De Juan was assessed by medical personnel shortly after being brought back to Manila. Initial findings indicated that she showed stable vital signs and did not present any serious medical condition. Police said coordination with her family is ongoing to help ensure her continued recovery and well-being.
Earlier on Monday, the QCPD confirmed that De Juan had been located outside Metro Manila. Police officers from QCPD Police Station 5 in Fairview, together with members of her family, traveled to the Ilocos Region to fetch her and escort her safely back to the capital.
“The personnel of QCPD Police Station 5 (Fairview), together with Sherra’s family, are on their way to safely and properly fetch her from her location,” the QCPD said in a social media post.
Authorities estimated the trip would take around three hours, with De Juan expected to arrive in Manila by about 5 p.m. Police declined to disclose the exact town or barangay where she was found, citing security and safety considerations, and said further details would only be shared once all procedures were completed.
De Juan was last seen on December 10 at around 1:30 p.m. near the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Atherton Street in North Fairview, Quezon City. Her disappearance drew public attention as she was set to marry her fiancé, Mark Arjay Reyes, on December 14. During the search, Reyes took to social media to seek assistance from the public in locating her.
The QCPD said no additional information is being released at this time regarding the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
