With challenging weather conditions expected to persist, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has called on private companies operating in the hardest-hit locations to allow employees to work from home on Friday, December 19, where job functions can be carried out remotely. The recommendation is intended to reduce risks to staff and prioritise workplace safety during the unusual conditions.
Beyond remote work arrangements, the ministry reminded private sector employers across the country to heighten vigilance throughout the period of unsettled weather. Businesses were advised to put in place appropriate occupational health and safety precautions and to remain compliant with instructions issued by local authorities in each emirate, particularly where weather disruptions may affect daily operations.
