Fiancé named person of interest in disappearance of bride-to-be Sherra De Juan

Police have formally identified Mark Arjay Reyes, the boyfriend of missing bride-to-be Sherra De Juan, as a person of interest as authorities widen their investigation into her disappearance in Quezon City.

The development was confirmed by Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director PCol. Randy Glenn Silvio, who said Reyes is now under closer scrutiny as part of an ongoing probe into the case. De Juan had been reported missing days before she was supposed to get married, triggering concern among family members and prompting an intensive police response.

Investigators earlier formed a special investigation team to handle the case, citing the need to consolidate leads, review timelines, and assess all possible angles, including whether foul play may have occurred. Police have not released details on the specific circumstances that led to Reyes being named a person of interest, nor have they disclosed whether criminal charges are being considered at this stage.

De Juan’s disappearance has drawn public attention, with appeals for information circulating both online and through traditional media. Authorities have continued to encourage anyone with relevant knowledge to coordinate directly with the QCPD, stressing that all information, regardless of how minor it may seem, could be critical to the investigation.

As of the latest update, De Juan remains missing, and police say follow-up operations and interviews are ongoing while evidence gathered so far continues to be evaluated.
