Nearly 19,000 OFWs assisted in global rollout of OFW Serbisyo Caravan 2025

Nearly 19,000 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) across multiple regions received direct government assistance in 2025 through an expanded service initiative ordered by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., according to data from the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).

The Bagong Bayani ng Mundo–OFW Serbisyo Caravan 2025 delivered on-site services to Filipino workers in 11 global cities between June and October, covering key destinations in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. The caravan recorded assistance to 18,790 OFWs and processed a total of 31,638 transactions related to employment contracts, documentation, legal and welfare concerns, insurance, social protection programs, and national identification.

Service stops were conducted in Hong Kong, Riyadh, Osaka, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Shanghai, London, Rome, and Milan, allowing migrant workers to access multiple government services in a single venue. The initiative aimed to reduce the need for OFWs to visit several offices separately to complete essential requirements.

Led by DMW Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac, the caravan brought together 18 government agencies and one non-government organization to operate as a one-stop service hub. Beyond document processing, the program also offered wellness areas, medical consultations, and outreach services for OFWs who were unable to attend the main events.

Following its initial run, the government has set plans to roll out additional caravans in other overseas Filipino hubs, including Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Riyadh, Singapore, Dubai, Al Khobar, Phnom Penh, and Kuwait, as part of continued efforts to bring essential services closer to migrant workers abroad.
