Filipino R&B artist Dionela opened up on Facebook today, December 3, 2025, sharing what he described as a deeply personal reminder of faith, timing, and unexpected blessings. “Some call it coincidence, i call it divine intervention,” he wrote, posting a series of images that reveal the full story behind his Dubai concert earlier this year — and the long-lost dream guitar that found its way into his hands against all odds.
The post begins with a photo of him onstage, bathed in red light, singing before a massive crowd. Over the image, he wrote: “How I knew that God exists.” What followed was a story that stretched back to his teenage years. At 17, he said he dreamed of owning a Gibson SJ-200 CS, an instrument he once believed was far beyond his reach. “When I was 17, I had this ultimate dream guitar — a $7,000 Gibson SJ-200 CS. I never thought I’d be able to buy it because of the price and because I didn’t have the capacity to get something like that back then,” he shared.
Years later, his career had grown, and he finally reached a point where the guitar was financially within reach. But its scarcity became the new obstacle. “Time passed, and eventually I reached a point where I could afford it. But even then, I still couldn’t have it because of the guitar’s availability. It was so hard to find,” he wrote.
Everything changed when he flew to Dubai for a concert — the same show held at Coca-Cola Arena on September 14, 2025, produced by D&R Elegant Events. In his post, Dionela recalled meeting the producer of the show, someone he simply referred to as a friend: “One day, I flew to Dubai for a concert and stayed there for a week. That’s where I met my friend Rami, who happened to be the producer of the concert. We had a moment and talked about life. He’s awesome.”
Rami Hajjar, the Armenian entrepreneur behind D&R Pure Jewels and D&R Elegant Events, has long been instrumental in bringing Filipino artists to Dubai’s biggest stages. Alongside his Filipina wife Donna Hajjar, he helped mount the very show that brought Dionela to the city — a concert that later inspired the unfolding of the musician’s story.
During his stay, Dionela wandered Dubai with his team and fiancée. In a local music shop, he unexpectedly came face-to-face with the guitar he had chased for more than a decade. “Guess what? I saw my dream guitar just sitting there in one of Dubai’s music stores.” But he didn’t buy it. The price, timing, and priorities pulled him in a different direction.
That same night, while back in his room, he received a message asking if he could support a local church in Bulacan with new instruments and a sound system — something he regularly does as part of his personal mission. “Later that night, in my room, I was still thinking about the guitar when a friend messaged me, asking if I could help out a local church in Bulacan… The catch was, I had to choose what to prioritize — the church or my dream guitar, because both would require funds.”
He made his decision. “In the end, I chose the church.” He immediately ordered the needed equipment from a trusted shop in the Philippines, letting go once more of the guitar he had longed for.
The Dubai show came and went — a sold-out night filled with lights, singing, and what fans described as one of his most heartfelt performances. When he returned to the Philippines, he and his team delivered the instruments to the church. He wrote: “The concert happened — it was awesome! I went back home to the Philippines safely. My team and I delivered the blessing to the church and helped set everything up as well.”
Then came the moment that completed the story.
“When I got home, I saw a message from my friend Rami on Instagram… saying he had a gift.” Attached to his post was the last photo — a brand new Gibson SJ-200 CS, resting inside a red velvet case. “It was my dream guitar,” he wrote.
His closing image shows him onstage with that very guitar, under soft blue lights, with a single word across the frame: “Grace.”
Dionela’s Facebook post moved thousands within minutes — not just because it recounted an artist’s long-awaited reward, but because it portrayed a faith-driven decision that circled back in an unexpected way. It also highlighted the role of Rami Hajjar, whose work in Dubai’s events scene has supported many Filipino artists, and who ultimately became part of this story of generosity, timing, and connection.
For Dionela, it was more than a gift. More than timing. More than coincidence.
It was, as he said himself, “divine intervention.”
