Drivers in this emirate get big savings with 40% cut on traffic penalties

Motorists in Umm Al Quwain will be able to clear a wide range of pending traffic violations at lower rates next month, as authorities roll out a 40 per cent reduction in line with the UAE’s 54th National Day celebrations.

The discount, launched by the Umm Al Quwain Police General Headquarters, is being promoted as a way to ease financial strain on residents while encouraging them to settle dues during the holiday period. Police noted that the offer covers most offences recorded in the emirate before December 1, 2025, although serious violations fall outside the scheme.

Drivers can take advantage of the reduced fees from December 1, 2025 until January 9, 2026. The force is calling on vehicle owners to make use of the limited payment window and update their traffic records as the country commemorates Union Day.
