Dubai launches eight-day New Year festivities with ticketed Burj Park access

New Year’s Eve in Downtown Dubai will take on a new format this year as celebrations extend well past the first minutes of January 1. According to Khaleej Times, Emaar confirmed that the festivities will unfold over eight consecutive days, starting on December 31 beside the Burj Khalifa and concluding on January 7.

At Burj Park, spectators who want an unobstructed view of the signature fireworks, laser displays and stage acts will need to secure paid entry. Tickets—now available exclusively through the official event website—are priced at Dh997.5 for adults and Dh577.5 for children aged 5 to 12. Access remains free for those under five, provided they hold a reserved badge. Organisers noted that all passes must be bought online in advance.

Beyond the gated viewing zone, Downtown Dubai will continue to host open and free celebrations across its wider public areas. This year’s concept will turn the entire district into a connected performance arena, with synchronised presentations stretching from the Burj Khalifa lakefront to the Dubai Mall promenade and across the full height of the tower. As Emaar described it, “Wherever viewers look, there will be something to capture their gaze.”

The main production will blend live performers, mobile platforms, fireworks, aerial choreography and advanced visual technology. Organisers said the upcoming show “far surpasses any previous New Year’s Eve event in the region.”

Adding to the expanded programme, a large-scale parade will move through key streets in Downtown Dubai, carrying oversized floats, puppets and performers meant to illustrate the city’s character and creativity. Emaar has kept its full performance roster confidential for now.
