Filipino haute couture designer Michael Cinco is expanding his global footprint with the upcoming launch of Michael Cinco Qatar, set to open soon inside the upscale Al Fardan Tower in Lusail, Doha. The new location brings his signature couture craftsmanship and ready-to-wear collections closer to clients in Qatar’s rapidly growing luxury fashion market.
Cinco, who was born in Catbalogan, Samar, and later launched his eponymous label in Dubai in 2003, has built an international reputation for dramatic silhouettes, intricate embellishments and couture-level artistry. His creations have been worn by some of the world’s biggest stars, including Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Aishwarya Rai. His work has also appeared on red carpets such as Cannes, the Met Gala and major global film festivals.
Known for lavish bridal pieces and heavily embellished gowns, Cinco earlier designed the 46-kilogram Swarovski-encrusted wedding dress for Victoria Swarovski, adorned with half a million crystals and an eight-metre train. He has also been recognized for elevating Filipino talent on the world stage, becoming the first Filipino designer to showcase in Paris Haute Couture Week through Asian Designers Week.
The new Qatar boutique will offer couture appointments, custom garments and exclusive ready-to-wear selections for discerning clients.
