Nearly 500 volunteers gear up to serve kababayans at OFW Caravan in Dubai

Almost 500 Filipino volunteers have pledged their time and effort to support the upcoming Bagong Bayani ng Mundo: OFW Serbisyo Caravan, set to take place on November 15–16, 2025, at Halls 1, 2, and 3 of the Dubai World Trade Center.

The two-day service caravan, organized by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), will bring together 12 Philippine government agencies—including teams flying in from Manila—to provide essential services to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

The Filipino Social Club (FILSOC), the only licensed Filipino public association in Dubai, mobilized the nearly 500 community volunteers to ensure smooth operations throughout the event.

According to Labor Attaché Atty. John Rio Bautista, overall head of the event, and Ericson Reyes, head of the Filipino community, preparations are in full swing. They expressed confidence that the collaboration between government staff and volunteers will greatly benefit Filipino workers in the UAE.

“The spirit of Bayanihan is present, and the heart to serve our fellow OFWs is strong,” they said, emphasizing the unity driving the initiative.

The DMW encourages OFWs to participate and take advantage of the wide range of government services available during the caravan.
