The two-day Alagang OWWA: Wellness and Membership Serbisyo Caravan in Abu Dhabi recorded a major turnout, processing 948 OWWA e-Cards for overseas Filipino workers — the highest volume reported in its ongoing nationwide and overseas rollout.
Data from the event showed that 528 OFWs received various frontline services during the caravan, which brought multiple Philippine agencies under one venue to ease access to government programs for Filipinos in the UAE. A total of 534 OFWs also renewed or activated their OWWA memberships on site, reflecting the strong demand for updated benefits and welfare coverage among workers in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Western Region.
The Abu Dhabi caravan formed part of the wider Bagong Bayani ng Mundo: OFW Serbisyo Caravan, which also delivered more than 6,000 essential government transactions earlier this month. The initiative included services from the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi, the Migrant Workers Office, Pag-IBIG Fund, SSS, PhilHealth, PSA, DSWD, Land Bank of the Philippines, and other agencies.
OWWA emphasized online that the initiative continues to bring “#SerbisyongMayPuso” to Filipinos worldwide, reaffirming its commitment to sustained support for overseas workers. The agency said the caravan ensures that “Alagang OWWA ay patuloy na dadaloy, dala ang serbisyo, gabay, at kalinga para sa ating mga Bagong Bayani.”
