Ajman Police confirmed that no delivery motorcycles were involved in accidents over the past six months, marking a major milestone in road safety efforts led by the emirate. Major Rashid Hamid Bin Hindi, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department, said recent data shows a 56% drop in accident rates compared to the period before the “Safe Route” campaign.
According to Bin Hindi, serious incidents involving delivery bikes fell from six cases to zero, while minor accidents decreased from one case to none. He said the results reflect the strong impact of intensified awareness drives, targeted monitoring, and strict enforcement aimed at improving safety among delivery riders.
Bin Hindi highlighted that none of the recorded accidents during the period were caused by delivery motorcyclists, noting their “high level of traffic discipline” following sustained educational programs. However, authorities still documented 6,201 violations linked to dangerous riding behaviours. A total of 107 motorcycles were impounded for severe offenses, including driving against traffic, entering prohibited zones, and other actions posing risks to the public.
Ajman Police stressed that oversight and safety monitoring continue to ensure the protection of lives and property. The “Safe Route” initiative aligns with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to enhance road safety and supports Ajman Vision 2030 by promoting a safe, efficient, and sustainable traffic environment.
