A French national suffered serious injuries following a bike accident in the Nazwa desert on Wednesday night. The National Search and Rescue Center (NSRC), in coordination with Sharjah Police, responded swiftly after receiving an emergency call.
The call detailed that a man had sustained severe back injuries while biking in the desert. A medical evacuation was promptly conducted at the scene during the search-and-rescue (SAR) mission.
The injured individual was airlifted by the NSRC team and immediately taken to Al Dhaid Hospital for critical medical attention.
