The public trust and job satisfaction ratings of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte both fell in the latest OCTA Research survey conducted from September 30 to October 4, 2025.
According to the results released Wednesday, 57 percent of respondents said they trust Marcos — a seven-point decline from 64 percent recorded in July. Those who expressed distrust in the president rose from 20 percent to 25 percent, while the undecided group slightly increased from 16 percent to 17 percent.
Marcos’ performance rating also dipped to 54 percent from 62 percent in July. Dissatisfaction with his performance grew from 19 percent to 26 percent, and those undecided went up from 18 percent to 20 percent.
Vice President Duterte likewise saw her trust rating slip from 54 percent to 51 percent. The percentage of respondents who distrusted her edged up from 23 percent to 24 percent, while those undecided climbed from 23 percent to 26 percent.
Her satisfaction rating dropped marginally to 49 percent, one point below the majority mark and down from 50 percent in July. Dissatisfaction increased to 26 percent from 23 percent, while the undecided portion fell slightly from 25 percent to 24 percent.
“Even with the observed declines, President Marcos Jr. continues to enjoy majority trust and approval among Filipinos,” OCTA Research said, noting that Duterte’s trust rating “remains within majority levels” despite her performance score dipping below 50 percent.
The survey interviewed 1,200 respondents nationwide and has a ±3 percent margin of error.
