Cooler days ahead: UAE temps to drop slightly this weekend, fog likely

Temperatures across the UAE are expected to dip gradually starting Sunday as weak pressure systems influence the region, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported.

The agency outlined a stretch of humid mornings, light winds, and mostly clear skies heading into next week, with patchy fog or mist likely in inland and coastal spots.

On Friday, residents can expect humidity early in the day, especially in northern areas, before skies remain mostly clear. Winds will shift from southeasterly to northwesterly at light to moderate strength, ranging from 10 to 20 km/h. Seas are forecast to stay calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

Saturday will bring similar conditions, with early humidity and the possibility of fog. Winds may pick up to 35 km/h at times before turning northwesterly. Waves are set to stay slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Sea of Oman.

By Sunday, humidity and fog risks remain in the morning, while skies stay clear to partly cloudy. Winds will again range between 10 and 25 km/h, reaching up to 35 km/h at times.

Monday’s forecast points to more cloud cover, particularly over coastal and island areas. Nighttime humidity may return into early Tuesday. Winds will vary from northwesterly to southwesterly, occasionally strengthening up to 40 km/h in gusts. Seas may become rough in western parts of the Arabian Gulf overnight, while remaining slight to moderate in the Sea of Oman.
