Heart Evangelista’s personal assistant, Resty Rosell, has called out Vice Ganda after the comedian’s recent claim that he helped rebuild a school in Evangelista’s hometown stirred controversy online.
During the October 24 episode of It’s Showtime, Vice Ganda shared that he visited a school in the province of Heart and Senator Chiz Escudero and was moved by what he saw. “May pinuntahan akong lugar do’n sa probinsiya nina Heart Evangelista, na isang paaralan na walang reading materials. Pinagawa ko ‘yong eskwelahan… Nagpadala ako ng tulong do’n kasi walang reading materials. Bulok ‘yong paaralan… I cried so much when I saw that school,” he said.
Rosell, however, criticized the mention of Heart’s name and took to Instagram to express her disapproval, tagging Vice in several posts. “Vice, sa DepEd po kayo manawagan kasi may budget ang DepEd para sa mga school buildings and reading materials. Ano ang intention mo to mention Heart’s name? Para ano?? Mema? Mema-sabi ka lang? KALOKA!!!” she wrote.
She went on to accuse the comedian of overstating his involvement, saying, “Nag-ambag ka lang pero kung makapagyabang ka parang ikaw yung nagpatayo ng buong building!”
According to Rosell, the project at Bagacay Elementary School was already underway through the local Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) before Vice Ganda’s contribution. “Hindi ka nagpagawa ng paaralan/classroom. Nag-AMBAG ka lang sa ongoing project ng PTA… 40% ay galing sa PTA at 60% sa’yo @praybeytbenjamin. Under construction na ‘yung eskwelahan nung pumunta ka,” she clarified.
Rosell also alleged that Vice took full credit for the project and turned it into content for his monetized vlog. “Inako mo lahat ng credit, na-echapwera ang PTA na nagbayad rin naman. Tapos nilagay mo pa sa channel mo, at monetized! Sikat ka na, kumita ka pa!” she added.
As of this writing, both Heart Evangelista and Vice Ganda have yet to release official statements on the matter, which continues to gain attention across social media platforms.
