Cavite 4th District Rep. Francisco “Kiko” Barzaga has disclosed a net worth of ₱5.375 million in his 2025 Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN), filed on July 1.
Barzaga’s declaration showed no real properties under his name. The report detailed ₱3.025 million in cash from a 2019 donation and ₱2.35 million in accumulated monthly income between 2019 and 2024. He also reported no business interests.
The lawmaker listed several family members currently serving in government, including his mother, Dasmariñas Mayor Jennifer Barzaga; his brother, Vice Mayor Elpidio Barzaga; his aunt and special assistant, Jocelyn Austria; and his uncle, Trece Martires Board Member Nickanor Austria Jr.
In a Facebook post, Barzaga clarified that his declared net worth does not yet include inherited assets from his late father, former Dasmariñas Representative Elpidio Barzaga Jr., which comprise vehicles, property, and cash estimated at ₱35 million that have yet to be formally transferred.
Barzaga’s public disclosure followed Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla’s move to ease previous restrictions requiring personal authorization before releasing lawmakers’ SALNs.
Several House members have also released their own SALNs, including Makabayan bloc lawmakers Antonio Tinio (₱10.937 million), Sarah Elago (₱1.03 million), and Renee Co (₱280,000). Dinagat Islands Rep. Arlene Bag-ao declared ₱15.052 million, while Akbayan representatives Chel Diokno, Percival Cendana, and Dadah Ismula reported ₱13.185 million, ₱1 million, and ₱3.246 million, respectively.
House Speaker Faustino Dy III earlier said the chamber would revisit its disclosure rules to enhance transparency and accountability, adding that he plans to release his own SALN as an example, though he has yet to do so.
