The United Arab Emirates has extended its sympathies to the Philippines following the powerful earthquake that devastated parts of Central Philippines, leaving dozens dead, many injured, and widespread destruction in its wake.
In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed solidarity with the Philippine government and its people during this period of grief. The ministry also conveyed “sincere condolences and sympathy with the families of the victims and to the government and people of the Philippines over this tragedy,” while wishing for the swift recovery of those who were injured.
