Marco Daniel Restaurant and Cafe opens in Khalidiya, offering Filipinos a taste of home

A new dining destination has opened its doors in Khalidiya, Abu Dhabi, bringing authentic Filipino flavors and a welcoming space for the community. Marco Daniel Restaurant and Cafe, owned by Aldrin Joseph and Jeni Kar Linao, was officially launched on August 8, 2025, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at 4:00 PM.

Named after the couple’s sons, Marcus Daniel and Marco Gael, the restaurant has quickly captured the attention of food lovers, especially with its buzzworthy offerings like Abu Dhabi’s first giant halo-halo, affordable steaks, sizzling platters, and a wide range of Filipino favorites. Its prime location—just behind Shining Tower and Safa Express Supermarket—makes it easily accessible for families, friends, and solo diners looking for comfort food with a homely touch.

Inside, guests are welcomed into a cozy atmosphere that reflects the restaurant’s slogan, “Where every bite feels like home.” Customers have praised its hearty dishes, from sizzling sisig and chicken inasal to comforting bowls of sinigang na baka. The rib-eye steak, in particular, has stood out for its flavor and value, while the inclusion of Maria Paz pastries adds a sweet treat to the experience.

Beyond its menu, Marco Daniel Restaurant and Cafe also features a party hall, making it a versatile spot not only for casual dining but also for community events and gatherings.
