Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi warns Filipinos against exit pass scam

The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi has cautioned the Filipino community in the UAE about fraudulent individuals posing as embassy representatives and demanding payments for supposed “exit passes” and other documents.

In an advisory released on its official Facebook page, the Embassy said it has received multiple reports of scammers using mobile numbers to contact Filipinos and claim that fees must be settled through phone calls, text messages, or bank transfers to personal accounts.

The Embassy stressed that it does not collect payments for exit passes and that no official transaction is ever processed through phone calls, text messages, or private bank transfers. All legitimate payments are only accepted through authorized channels inside the Embassy.

Filipinos are strongly urged to stay alert and vigilant against such scams. Any suspicious calls or messages should be reported immediately to Philippine authorities via abudhabipe.atn@dfa.gov.ph. The Embassy also encouraged the public to spread the warning to help protect fellow kababayans from being victimized.
