A light earthquake measuring 3.5 magnitude was recorded in Al Sila’a, Abu Dhabi, shortly after midnight on Friday, August 8, 2025, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) confirmed.
The quake struck at around 12:00 a.m. UAE time at a shallow depth of 3 kilometers. While the tremor was slightly felt by some residents, authorities assured that it had no impact or damage.
The NCM emphasized that there is no cause for concern. Earthquakes of this magnitude are generally considered minor and not expected to cause structural harm.
