Industrial facility in Abu Dhabi suspended over air pollution violations

An industrial facility in Mussafah has been temporarily shut down by the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) for breaching air quality regulations.

The suspension follows a series of inspections prompted by community complaints about intense odors and air pollution in the area. Authorities confirmed that emissions from the facility exceeded legal limits, directly affecting local air quality.

EAD emphasized that such actions are part of ongoing efforts to ensure a safe and sustainable environment across the emirate. The agency urged all industrial operators to strictly follow environmental standards to safeguard public health and the surrounding ecosystem.
