The United Arab Emirates has announced the immediate resumption of aid airdrops over Gaza, citing the worsening humanitarian conditions in the besieged territory.
UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan described the situation as “critical and unprecedented,” underlining the urgent need for continued relief. In a statement posted Saturday on X (formerly Twitter), he said, “We will continue delivering relief support to those most in need—by land, air, and sea.”
He reiterated the UAE’s firm commitment to assisting the Palestinian people, noting that the country’s support remains steadfast. “The UAE remains at the forefront of efforts to deliver life-saving assistance,” Sheikh Abdullah added.
The announcement comes as aid organizations sound the alarm over mass starvation in Gaza, where access to food, medicine, and basic supplies has become increasingly limited.
The UAE has played a key role since the early days of the crisis, establishing both air and sea corridors to deliver urgent relief. Through its “Birds of Goodness” campaign, the country has carried out numerous airdrops of food and emergency supplies to civilians trapped in the conflict.
