Iloilo has secured its spot on the travel radar once again—this time as one of Asia’s most budget-friendly summer getaways, according to Agoda’s latest rankings.
The digital travel platform placed Iloilo fifth on its list of the most affordable destinations in Asia for June to August 2025, with average nightly accommodations priced at just ₱2,684. This makes Iloilo the only city in the Philippines to land on the list, alongside Surabaya in Indonesia, Tirupati in India, Hat Yai in Thailand, and Dalat in Vietnam.
Coming off the heels of being named the Philippines’ first UNESCO City of Gastronomy, Iloilo continues to draw travelers with its unique blend of heritage, culinary richness, and welcoming atmosphere—without breaking the bank.
Beyond affordability, the city charms visitors with its well-preserved Spanish-era churches, iconic ancestral homes, and a scenic river esplanade. It’s also home to culinary favorites like batchoy and pancit molo—dishes that echo the city’s deep-rooted food culture, now celebrated globally.
The Agoda list was created based on average room prices across nine Asian markets, aiming to guide travelers toward affordable yet memorable travel experiences.
